New Mission President
I apologize for not writing an email for the last few weeks, they've been really crazy. In the last few weeks we've done quite a bit of stuff. There's two people that we have prepared for baptism in the last few weeks. One of them is Jesus. He's a 16 year old kid that we've been teaching for a couple months and he's ready for baptism. He even passed a baptismal interview. However, his mom is not on board so we'll be working extra hard to get her there. He's a really humble kid and he really wants to get baptized.
The other one is Bruno. He's all ready and wants to be baptized really bad, but his wife's not on board and in preach my gospel it says we need spousal permission, which is something he said he will never get. But, he asked if he can continue reading his scriptures, and coming to church even if he's not baptized. Of course we said yes, so he's going to become an unbaptized, active member.
Things in general are really good here in Mesa. We're starting to break 110 pretty often down here which is tough on the bike. The sun is what kills you, and there's never a cloud in the sky. But at the same time it's awesome because it's all part of the mission experience.
Also, we got a new mission president this last week. It's crazy. He's so much different than our last one. We'll see what kind of a direction he takes the mission, but he's really awesome.
We're also starting to find a lot more people in our area which was a struggle last transfer so it's been really good for us. Things have been super good these last few weeks. Hope everyone has a great week this week.
