Alpha Spanish Speaker

This week was amazing!! We had a lot of cool things going on. First, we had transfers. Elder Martinez Garcia left and I'm staying here in Mesa!! I'm getting my third companion in this ward. His name is Elder Dougherty. We already know each other because he was my roommate in the MTC. This week has been really different because this is my first transfer as the alpha Spanish speaker for a lack of better words.     On Sunday, we had a really spiritual experience with Jesus and his family. We met both of his parents for the first time and we brought a member over and gave Jesus and his two brothers blessings. After the blessings, Jesus's brothers were asking if they can start coming to church with us and asking us all about our missions. Their mom too was asking us a ton of questions about our missions. Jesus walked us out to our car after and was telling us how strong the spirit was and then later that night, he texted us and told us that his parents agreed to his baptism on t...

What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger

Hope everyone had a good week this week!     This week there's not a whole lot to tell. We had a really good week of finding people that have been prepared by the Lord. We've been doing a lot to develop the faith to find and the faith to stop teaching some people. It's been super good for us.     This week we had Bruno and Jesus at church. Both of them are still doing awesome. They're still both ready and still both waiting. I know they'll be able to be baptized some time.     There's not really much else that I have. This week was good, but we are starting to get up in the 113° range and that's crazy hot on a bike. It sure does test you. But it's all an awesome experience. Love you guys. Have a good week.

I apologize for not writing an email for the last few weeks, they've been really crazy. In the last few weeks we've done quite a bit of stuff. There's two people that we have prepared for baptism in the last few weeks. One of them is Jesus. He's a 16 year old kid that we've been teaching for a couple months and he's ready for baptism. He even passed a baptismal interview. However, his mom is not on board so we'll be working extra hard to get her there. He's a really humble kid and he really wants to get baptized.     The other one is Bruno. He's all ready and wants to be baptized really bad, but his wife's not on board and in preach my gospel it says we need spousal permission, which is something he said he will never get. But, he asked if he can continue reading his scriptures, and coming to church even if he's not baptized. Of course we said yes, so he's going to become an unbaptized, active member.      Things in general are really goo...
