Transfers

Image
Hey everyone!!     This week we got transfer news!! I'm headed back down to the valley in Mesa for the heat of the summer to a bike area!!! Yes!! I'm going back to Spanish!! I'm still gonna be the district leader in my new area so that's gonna be super fun to get to meet and go on some exchanges with some new missionaries! I'm sooo pumped. My new companion is Elder Ludiker and he's picking me up tomorrow. He's a missionary that I'm already familiar with and I like him and he works really hard. I'm super excited.     This week was a good week. My companion and I had some good contacts this week. We've also been doing tons of service. Now that it's warm out, everyone wants us to help them with service. We've been building fences, doing weeding, moving rocks, hauling hay, moving furniture, building a house. The list goes on and on. It's been really nice because it's keeping us out in the community and people are seeing us out helping...

Lots Of Service

Image
Hey guys!!!     We had a great time this week! We did a ton of service this week. We helped out Sissy with some weeding and also with tending to the trees that we planted last week. We helped Todd build another fence on his farm. We also helped Debbie with picking up trash in her backyard. On Wednesday we helped sort cans at a senior center and Friday we weeded a woman's yard. The weather here has started to warm up and the sun is out and none of us wore sunscreen during any of this service so we all got super fried.     We put Debby Kinney on date this week. We had a lesson with her and we have lessons with her at Sissy's house, who's a recent convert. So we went into the lesson planning on inviting her to be baptized and when the lesson started, she asked us a question about something she read in 3 Nephi about baptism so it worked perfectly. We're hoping for her to be baptized on the 11th of May so we're praying that everything works out.      On Sun...

18 Year Old Decisions

Image
Happy Monday everyone!!!     This week was a pretty good week! We started off the week with a pretty funny experience. I was on an exchange with someone in my district this week so I was in a different area. My companion and I went and donated blood, which we later figured out was against the rules, but we didn't know so that's sinning in ignorance. They told us to go have a big meal after so we went to subway. While we were checking out, the worker looked through the window behind us and said oh no it's the cookie monster. Apparently, this lady comes in every single day and gets just cookies. So, I made a split second 18 year old decision and we bought all the cookies that they had. All 28 of them. She came in as the worker was dumping the cookies into a box for us. The lady was pretty annoyed, and so she left. My comp and I felt pretty bad about it, but she had driven away. So, on the way to our first appointment, we saw her truck sitting in her driveway. We decided that ...

2019 Toyota Tacoma

Hey guys this is gonna be a short email sorry! Tbh we couldn't get around to doing much because we were so busy with meetings and conference.      Conference was amazing!! I can't believe how inspired our leaders are!! Its crazy to me how they're not assigned topics and yet they all seem to receive similar revelation. I love the council we got this week and the things we could reflect on. I already can't wait til the next conference. I hope you guys got a lot out of conference.     Another cool thing that happened this week is that we got a brand new truck!! 2019 Toyota Tacoma. Man it is super nice. I'll probably never drive a vehicle this nice ever again.     Lastly, we had a lesson with someone new we're teaching in Sissys home and were gonna continue doing the lessons in her home so that's really nice. Sorry for the short email. Love all you guys!!! Have a great week!

She Should Be Baptized Already

Hey everyone!!     This was yet another good week!! The week started off with us finding another new person!! It was honestly kind of a miracle. It was so weird because we knocked on this door that we don't have any records for. Her name is Debby and she's kinda older. But when she saw us she immediately knew who we were. She went and she got a Book of Mormon that some missionaries had given her a long time ago and she's almost done with Alma. She told us that she wants to come to church and was just saying all these things and the whole time I was wondering how come she hasn't been baptized. She even quit smoking and drinking on her own. She honestly should already be baptized. So we started teaching her and we did some service for her as well and then she came to church on Sunday with some members that we asked to go pick her up. It was awesome!!     Towards the end of the week, we did so much service. Friday morning we went and did some service for Randy digging h...
