Teaching With No Background
Hey guys!!
This last week was rather slow to be honest but still awesome. Most of our effective work happens on the weekends because everyone is off work and we can talk to a bunch of people. This week was slow because spring break started and so during the weekend, no one was home.
This last week my companion and I had a first lesson with a kid named Drake. He's 14 and he's a really cool kid. The weird thing is that he's a completely blank slate. He has no Christian background and so we had to explain who Jesus Christ is and what he did for us. I've never had to teach someone with no background so that was kinda weird and difficult but cool. The other cool thing is that we haven't had anyone to teach in that ward since I got transferred here and we've been praying for someone. It's hard to do work in that ward because we live thirty minutes away from it, but now we have someone to teach so that's awesome.
We had some service with a hoarder this week and so that was definitely an eye opener.
On Sunday, we met with Cosma again and she's just about ready for baptism! She has her interview this Saturday and then she'll be baptized the following Saturday. She's so ready. She loves going to church and to mutual. Unfortunately we couldn't meet with Randy this week because his whole family was sick, but we'll get him this week.
This next week should be an exciting week, we have a ton going on and it's the last week of the transfer.
Hope you guys all have a great week this week!!
