First District Council
Super good week!!
This was my first week as district leader and so I've kinda been settling in to my new role. I had to prepare and then conduct my first district council on Thursday and so that was kinda cool.
Something that everyone up here in the mountains struggles with is finding new people to teach. This week I really wanted to set an example for the rest of the district and so I was praying that we could find some new people to start teaching and we found 3!! I was so happy. We haven't found that many people in one week since I got up to the mountains. It was so awesome.
Also this week, we had a baptism for Cosma!! It was such a great service. Her whole family showed up and none of them are members and Cosma's the youngest person in their family. The baptism led to us setting up a visit with her sisters this upcoming week, though they're not counted as one of our three new people. Unfortunately, we have to wait until next Sunday to confirm her because she couldn't make it to church the next day which was a bummer.
This week we've been able to do a ton of service. The weather's been a lot better this last week and so there are more service opportunities opening up. Hopefully we can use service as a source of finding.
The work is going really good in our area right now and it's kinda weird adjusting to being the district leader, but it's also kinda fun. I get to interact with the missionaries a lot more and see how everyone's doing so it's pretty cool.
I can't wait for general conference. I'm so grateful for the prophet and for the inspiration that he receives. There are a lot of rumors about potential changes, so we'll just have to wait and see.
Have a great week everyone! Love you guys!
