The Book Of Mormon Goes Hand In Hand With The Bible

Good week!

The Lord blessed my companion and I this week! Last week our area slowed way down and so we had to start getting creative, and we were blessed this week to get a new person. This week we started teaching a girl whose name is Bonita. We found her through working with the ward council. Her parents are both inactive members and the great thing is that she wants her to baptize her and so parents have been coming back to church! We've been teaching her and her parents and they've started coming to church as a family! It's so awesome to see them there.

Another miracle that happened this week was with a guy named Tod. He is familiar with our religion and he's been taught by missionaries in the past but he asked them to stop teaching him because he said they were more like salesmen than missionaries. The whole transfer my companion and I have been stopping by and texting them and asking them if we can serve them, and he's given us a couple things to do. This last week my comp and I went over to help him build this fence and while we were there he said, "you know what? I don't really offer this to the missionaries, but I like you guys, so this next week I want you guys to come over and read with me some of the Book of Mormon." It was crazy! And it gets better. We kept talking to him and we started talking about the bible and the plain and precious things that were taken out and how the Book of Mormon goes hand in hand with the bible and he said he agrees!! That was super exciting. I hope he continues down this path.

This last week we just did a lot of service in general. Sissy (the one who was baptized a couple weeks ago) asked us to come over this last week and dig some holes for some trees she's putting in. Then we invited her to the church in order to meet the family history consultant and we found her three names to take to the temple and we started her on family history!!!! I'm so excited for her. She's super awesome.

Randy couldn't come to church this week because he unexpectedly had to go out of town but he's super excited to get baptized. We're a little concerned if we can get the word of wisdom issue settled in time but I know he can do it if he relies on the Lord. I have a lot of faith in him.

We had transfers this week and both me and my comp and almost everyone in our district is staying so unfortunately that means I'll be serving in an English area for another transfer but I know that there must be a reason. It's tough not being to practice all the time but I know if I bear with patience mine afflictions then the Lord can work miracles in my life!!

I hope you guys all have a great week this week. Love you guys!
