Area Came To A Halt

This week our area came to a halt. The past couple weeks my companion and I have been doing well at using our time and extremely effectively and we were seeing results and everything was going great, and then this week out of nowhere everything stopped. We actually went tracting a couple times this week which is completely unheard of. No one in the mountains ever goes tracting and there's good reason for it. But I know that as my companion and I are diligent and are trying to put an effort into finding someone to teach that the Lord will bless us with someone.

 

 

We had a lesson with Randy this week and we put him on a firm date of February 23rd. That is going to be a difficult date to keep because of a word of wisdom issue but he is soooo determined to be baptized. He has brought his whole family to church the last two weeks in a row so we're hoping they see his example and want to get baptized soon after him.

 

 

My companion and I have been working with this catholic couple the past few weeks and they're probably the coolest people I've met on my mission. They are very devout Catholics but they love having us over. Unfortunately they get into a lot of anti stuff when we're not there. They look up a lot of stuff in their free time and it's very hard to get them to understand it. But if there's anything coming out of their lessons it's that I'm really learning a lot of deep doctrine and my testimony is growing so much by talking to them.

 

 

This week we had a back to back exchange so I didn't even see my companion from Monday night until halfway through Thursday so that was really weird.

To the fam: my comp and I are alright. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. I have not yet received your gift but I probably will next week. Next week is transfers so I wont have p day until Tuesday.
