Responsibility Falls On Me
This week is transfers. My companion is heading up to the mountains and I'm staying here in the area. I meet my new companion tomorrow but I know he's a kid from the Dominican Republic so I'm companions with a native Spanish speaker!! This week was so crazy. First, Elder Kastello and I ran into this guy on Monday who asked us if we'd be interested in hearing how Jesus Christ and God are the same person and so were like sure ya this'll probably be quick. He explained it to us for over an hour and a half! We were standing there just so bored. I don't think he realized who we were or what our purpose was but it sucked and he started to get really frustrated when we weren't convinced.
We met with Rosa and Mizael this week and they loved church. Their kids are always asking us when the next activity is and about mutual and activity days and stuff and the other night we were talking to their kids about missions because they had a lot of questions and then when we left they went inside and told their parents they want to serve missions haha. However, their family is kind of a mess and there are a lot of things we need to address. Another problem is that Mizael has met with missionaries in the past a few times but he's never liked them and always hated their visits, and that me and my companion are the first ones that he's liked and he'll even wait for us to come over and he considers us really good friends. The problem is that my companion did most of the talking with him and now he's gone and their family is super sad about it, but Mizael is really attached to me so if I wasn't there he would no longer be meeting with missionaries. The other night we were at the Bishop's house and the Bishop's wife said that Mizael's wife said that all the responsibility now falls on me because Mizael likes me and if I don't pull through he won't get baptized. So now I'm in a tough spot because my Spanish isn't the best. So I'm kinda feeling overwhelmed. But the rest of his family really wants to get baptized really bad but only if they do it as a family, so that means I gotta get Mizael on board so we'll see how that goes.
Anyways that's pretty much it for this week. Love you guys!!
This is Bob. We take him out tracting with us sometimes. Me and my old companion as of today, Elder Kastello, and us with a ward member.
