Not As Easy As The MTC

Hey family!!

This week was really good. I got my new companion, Elder Almonte!! He's from the Dominican Republic so he’s a native Spanish speaker which is awesome to have. At the beginning of this week, we put Daniel on date for December 8 so hopefully that works out. If there's one thing I've learned about the mission field is that it's not as easy to make me keep their commitments as it is in the MTC. My new companion and I are trying to focus on finding this transfer. It's so hard. The other day we knocked doors for 5 straight hours and found absolutely no one. I hate it but I love it. The weather is starting to get a little colder at night but I can't complain because it's about 75 during the day. The past couple days we've found a couple cockroaches in our apartment. It's nasty. And funny because we’re all 18 to 20 year olds freaking out over a little bug. That's pretty much all that happened this week to be honest. My companion and I have been really trying to increase our teaching pool but were having a hard time doing it. Tomorrow we have a special Spanish workshop with all the Spanish missionaries in the valley about increasing our teaching pool so I'm really excited for that. I'm sad that I can't be home this week for a good Wilhelmsen Turkey Bowl and Thanksgiving. But hey, I get to call home in 5 weeks!! Well have a good Thanksgiving everyone!!! I'll tell you all about mine next week!!

Love you guys
