Feetloaf And Witch Fingers
Hey guys! What an awesome week. So Monday I was riding back from the church that we were hanging out at for p day, and I had a package under my arm and so I only was riding with one hand. I hit a speed bump and the handlebars on my bike twisted a funny way and I totally ate it into the ground. I looked ridiculous because I couldn't brace my fall because I was holding onto the box. So now I'm in a wrist brace so that kinda sucks. Then Tuesday morning we had a mandatory bed bug check which sucked. We had to move everything in our whole apartment 12-18 inches from the wall then we had to take all the clothes out of our drawers and take the drawers out and flip our dressers upside down. Then we had to go through our whole house and take all the outlets and light switch plates off. It took us 4 hours. And then that night we had to put everything back. It was terrible.
We had a lesson with Mizael that night and then one later in the week with Mizael and Rosa. They are our two most promising runners. In the second lesson we had with them this week, we asked them if they would be baptized and they basically said that they want to but they need to talk to their kids first because they want to do it as a family if they're gonna do it. So that was kinda iffy but we still think they'll come through. They came to church with us on Sunday and they loved it. They were just so into the lessons and they were loving participating and Mizael was having a great time in elders quorum. My companion and I also met with this guy we found out on the street last week and he was really interested. We gave him the first lesson and before we left he said he wanted us to come over for dinner so that's a good sign. But he also said that I look like Donald Trump so we might have to drop him. Haha jk. We met a guy out on the street the other day named Jesus and he was standing in his driveway smoking and my companion and I went up to him and he said he had a little time so we gave him the first lesson right there and he invited us back. We had several experiences like that one this week so those are exciting. I'm starting to open my mouth out on the streets more to Spanish and English speakers and it's resulted in a lot of new people being found and I'm starting to get excited about talking in Spanish to people so that's awesome.
Lastly, this week we had Halloween dinner with a member and they do the same kind of thing that we do at our house. We had "feetloaf and witch fingers and stuff like that. I felt right at home. (THIS IS MOM SPEAKING RIGHT HERE) I cried when Kyle mentioned about the Halloween dinner. For those that were here I have mentioned several times how sad I was that Kyle was missing his Halloween dinner. That just goes to show that if it's important to you, it's important to Heavenly Father....little tender mercies :) Now, back to Kyle.
That's all I can think of for this week. Thanks for all the love and support!
Mom: things are starting to get better for me. :)
Pictures: The one is of my room during the bed bug check, then Halloween dinner, then we were doing some service for this older lady in her garden and then we were taking this older guy out tracting with us so I was pushing him in his wheelchair.
