Out In The Field!

Hey family!! This week has been sooo crazy. I finished the MTC this week on Monday and flew to Phoenix on Monday morning. We got picked up by our Mission President at around 5 and they took us to the mission home in Scottsdale and they fed us dinner and everything. It was so nice because we didn't have to eat the trashy food at the CCM anymore and we could eat a home cooked meal. After dinner they sent us to an apartment where we stayed the night across the street from the mission home. Then the next morning we went back to the mission office and church building and they gave us breakfast and then they took pics with us and then we went over to the church for some training and info. Right before lunch, all the trainers came in and they sat us all down and one by one called us up to meet our new companions. It was so sketchy because we knew who all the prospects were but not which one was ours. I got assigned with Elder Kastello and we were assigned to the mesa area of our mission. After we got everything figured out they drove us back to our apartment and I put my bags down and then we got on our bikes and headed over to a dinner appointment we had at a members house. They speak Spanish sooo fast!! It was crazy. After dinner we were biking and it was just totally dumping rain. And we only had on short sleeve shirts. Then we visited like 5 more member families and went and taught a lesson to an investigator. The Spanish people I'm over are so nice. And they're all so happy. They live very humbly and it's cool to see the contrast from what I'm used to. Then, this morning, I went shopping for the first time. Shopping for my own food on a budget sucks. The money is gone so fast. Anyways, we're about to go out and do some more work so wish me luck!
