A Week And A Half Left

Hola fam! Only like another week and a half until the field. I can't wait! I can't wait to eat some normal food. So this week there were a couple new things that happened. The first is that we had TRCs which is basically when they put you in a room with someone that speaks only Spanish and you have to talk to them, get to know them, find out their needs, and then teach them a lesson based on what we think they need. It actually went surprisingly well. I understood everything they were saying and I just had a normal conversation with them and just got to know them. And we both perfectly understood each other. My companion had no idea what they were saying and so  I had to do all the talking and it made me feel like my Spanish was coming along pretty well. Then, on Tuesday, we had promix. Which is where they put us with a Latino companion for the whole day. And then, I realized that TRC was just a fluke because my companion and I couldn't communicate at all. It was such a bad experience for me. We taught two lessons that day with an investigator and I couldn't talk in either one of them because I had absolutely no idea what was going on. So I don't really know what to think about my Spanish right now. I would like to think it's getting better, but who knows. Anyways, then Jacob and Max got here on Tuesday and it was so nice to see them. I just really needed to see someone from Idaho. It made me feel a lot less homesick to be able to see someone from home. Anyways, that's pretty much all that's happened this week that's out of the ordinary. There's a really bad sickness going around though that's hit everyone in my district except for me so I'm hoping it stays that way. A lot of the elders in my district have had to stay in bed all day from it so I'm just hoping I can avoid it. Well I love all of you guys! I love getting everyone's letters and emails! I do take the advice that you guys give me. Thank you so much for all the support and comfort!
